The Tall Ship Silva is a Halifax schooner that ensures beautiful views, and the indoor banquet room and on-deck bar will take care of up to 150 guests as they dance beneath the stars. One couple chartered the ship after their on-land venue canceled on them, they recounted on Hitched, but it ended up being the best choice they made!

▲If you love animals as much as your partner, a zoo is the place to tie the knot. The Calgary Zoo in Canada, for example, offers several venues that include gardens with exotic birds and verandas looking out on to zebras and giraffes, making for an unforgettable event for people of all ages. The Edinburgh Zoo in the UK is a popular option for its on-site mansion, combining all-inclusive packages with magnificent views of nature's creatures as well as an elegant ceremony.

▲If you want a really cool wedding, shiver your way to an ice hotel, like the Hôtel de Glace in Quebec, Canada, and get married in a chapel made from ice! The ice hotel offers various wedding packages that include horse carriages, a night in a themed suite, a red carpet entrance, a violinist, and champagne and ice flutes.

▲Cross the proverbial bridge together by getting married on an actual bridge! The Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, USA, is a favorite. One young couple eloped on the bridge in a ceremony early on a Friday morning which gave them the “quiet, private, and gorgeous” scenery they needed, The Knot reports.

▲Mass weddings are held annually on February 14 at the top of the Loveland Ski Area in Colorado, USA. After you say "I do," you can ski down! This pictured couple joined 74 others who pre-registered to get married on The Continental Divide, and after their noon ceremony, they were provided champagne at a mass reception.

▲At the International Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque, USA, couples can get hitched in the air, and some balloon baskets can hold up to 12 passengers, so the bride, the groom, and their closest loved ones can fly together. The romantic atmosphere has been known to provide a backdrop for a relationship from the first date to the wedding, and Glamour reports that one couple, Michael and Mackenzie Chavez, had made regular trips to the Fiesta "to sit on the grass, see the balloons glow, and talk about the day we'd get married."

▲The Las Vegas Motor Speedway in the US hosts weddings year-round, but on one day a year, fans can get married for free in the Victory Lane. While you're at it, why not make the whole event NASCAR-themed?

▲You can don flowing capes and white fur coats, as well as spiked boots, at Iceland's Glacier Lagoon or on one of Alaska's glaciers, and share a romantic moment on a body of ice which might not even exist a few years from now! ▲When you get married in the stalactite-adorned Bridal Cave in the Ozarks of Missouri, you don't have to worry about decorating! Native American legend has it that a couple first married there in the early 1800s, and since then more than 3,000 couples have done the same, and for an affordable price!

▲Celebrate your molten, gooey love in Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park, where you can get married with views of Kilauea Caldera, part of a live volcano with plumes of lava flaring against the sky. ▲Natural history museums often have spaces to rent after-hours, and you can take advantage of built-in entertainment and ask the staff for guided tours during cocktail hour! The NHM UK offers various halls, gifts, and the chance to "[raise] a toast next to the resident Stegosaurus fossil."

▲What better way to kick off the thrilling ride of marriage than tying the knot as you literally take the plunge? One couple in particular got married at Six Flags on the Superman ride, shouting their vows to their wedding party strapped in behind them, and yelling "I do" on the big drop. They said they loved giving their 140-person wedding party a fun vacation instead of a formal event.

▲Put your love to the test and go where few couples have gone before, like these ice caves in Canada. Full disclosure, heading to this especially cool spot requires an adventurous duo who is okay with only bringing a witness or two, one of whom must be a professional guide. The wedding photos, however, will be nothing short of spectacular. Check out one couple's ceremony in Whistler, who, according to The Daily Mail, actually brought their dog along!

▲While Long Island, USA, might not seem like a special place to get married, Atlantis Marine World offers the opportunity to get married underwater in a cage surrounded by sharks! It requires two very bold people, but the story of one couple tying the knot surrounded by sand tiger sharks, nurse sharks, moray eels, and a Queensland grouper certainly gets the heart pumping.

Though you'll have to arrange things on their schedule, Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings & Honeymoons are well-versed in making dreams a reality, and getting those photos in front of the castle is an opportunity too good to pass up.
