As the stadium was not remodeled, the Spanish team moved to the modern ONO Estadi in 1999. In 2007 the stadium was used by Mallorca B, but its collapse was inevitable. Run down by time and vandalism, the stadium has no new developments. The future only holds demolition.

Built to host hockey games in 1941, the place was also famous for hosting big-name performers like the Beatles (the band's first in the US), Bob Dylan, and Rolling Stones.

Opened in 1973, the stadium was one of the most popular tourist attractions in the city-state. Praised even today, it has become a symbol of economic growth.
