The Hawaiian Islands have served as Hollywood's favorite tropical back lot since way back in 1913, when two silent one-reelers, 'Hawaiian Love' and 'The Shark God,' both filmed on Oahu, became Tinseltown's first production made in the Pacific Ocean archipelago. Since then, endless movies have been shot partially or entirely in the state of Hawaii, the location often doubling up for another more remote and less accessible part of the world.
