Around a thousand people were attending a Hanukkah event at Bondi Beach in Australia on December 14 when a shooting occurred. The attack targeted Jewish attendees, leaving 15 people dead and dozens injured. Among the victims were a 10-year-old child and a Holocaust survivor who was killed while protecting his wife. Local media identified the two gunmen as Sajid Akram, 50, who died at the scene, and his 24-year-old son Naveed, who remains in critical condition in hospital. Authorities said the attackers held Islamic extremist beliefs, and the incident has been declared a terrorist attack.
