When it comes to the hit sitcom 'New Girl,' Jessica and Nick were the couple that was always meant to be. Fans rooted for them throughout all seven seasons, and the writers managed to drag their love story out for years. In the new podcast 'Welcome to Our Show,' which features Deschanel and two of her co-stars discussing all the behind-the-scenes magic, Deschanel revealed that the chemistry between her and Jake Johnson was palpable on set. In fact, the writers actually told her that they had "too much" chemistry! This led them to separate Nick and Jess's storylines so they could allow the relationship to develop more slowly over several seasons.
