Police killings are sometimes inevitable, but there are some cities across the nation where they occur more often. In this gallery, we list the top 30 hotspots in the country when it comes to deadly police incidents.
The data was taken from the period between January 2020 and October 2024, and it ranks cities based on deadly incidents per 100,000 people, based on the total population. This means that, in some cases, fewer people may have died in a city, but the percentage of fatal police incidents is in fact higher taking into account the city's population.
