The Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood (PRB) was founded in 1848 by a group of British artists who succeeded in reintroducing the vibrant color and incredible detail that they felt had been sorely lacking in the paintings of the period. It was a bold step to take, but for a few brief years the movement endured. Today, the PRB still influences a host of creative celebrities, including filmmaker Peter Jackson of 'Lord of the Rings' fame and a host of fashion designers, models, and movie stars.
