Steve Jobs's House - United States - Apple co-founder bought the house in 2000 when it was abandoned. In 2004, the plan was to demolish the house and build a completely new and modern one in its place. However, after a legal battle with local preservationists, the demolition was postponed until 2011—the year in which Jobs died. Since then, it is said that the house is haunted. The property is known as the Jackling House.

Lalaurie Mansion - Untied States -

Delphine LaLaurie was an American socialite who was supposedly a serial killer. It is said that she helped torture, mutilate, and murder around 96 black slaves. The mansion was the location where these horrible events occurred and is now said to be haunted. The story was also told on the FX show 'American Horror Story.'

White House - United States - According to the Washington Post, the residence of American presidents is also a haunted house. According to tradition, some of the inhabitants remained in the house after their death because of an unquenchable thirst for power. The most well-known case is the spirit of Abraham Lincoln who, according to legend, is still in his room.

It is believed that Lizzie Borden brutally butchered her parents to death and that the house is now haunted by their spirits.

Amityville Horror House - United States -

This house is well-known thanks to the many movies that were inspired by the terrible events that took place there. A man named Ronald Defeo Jr. murdered six members of his family in the house in 1974, and the family who moved in in 1975 reported extreme paranormal activity. They fled after just 26 days.

Leamaneh Castle - Ireland -

This ruined castle is said to be haunted by the ghost of Red Mary. She was a sadistic murderer who married 25 times and killed many of her husbands. The legend goes that she also viciously tortured her female servants and kept a harem of young men at the house.

Corvin Castle - Romania -

Corvin Castle is best known as being the home of Vlad the Impaler, the inspiration for the bloodthirsty vampire in Bram Stoker's 'Dracula.' The castle is said to be haunted by the ghosts of the many people who were slaughtered there.

Château de Brissac - France -

The Château de Brissac was the site of a grisly murder in 1524. Charlotte of France, the King's illegitimate daughter, was killed by her husband who believed she had been adulterous. Her ghost, known as the Green Lady due to the color of her dress, still walks the halls of the Château de Brissac.
