Disaster

Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 vanished on March 8, 2014, with 239 people on board during a flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing. More than 12 years later, its main wreckage and flight recorders still have not been found.

A renewed search by marine robotics company Ocean Infinity surveyed more than 7,500 square kilometers (2,896 square miles) of seabed without locating the aircraft. Malaysia has since extended the company’s “no find, no fee” agreement through June 2027, allowing it to complete the remaining search area when conditions permit.

Click through to revisit what is known about MH370 and the latest effort to solve one of aviation’s greatest mysteries.
