Tirat Zvi's high temperatures can be partially attributed to the fact that the city is located at 220 m (722 ft) below sea level.

Wadi Halfa, Sudan - This region, which is on the border of Sudan and Egypt, hit its highest temperature of 53°C (127°F) in 1967.
