Angel of the North -

This prominent sculpture by Antony Gormley is found in Gateshead, in Tyne and Wear, and was completed in 1998. According to the sculptor, the angel has various representations.

It commemorates the coal miners who worked on the land beneath for centuries, it also symbolises the transition from an industrial age to the age of information and technology.

Conisbrough Castle - Doncaster's medieval Conisbrough Castle dates back to the 11th century, and is considered one of Yorkshire's most noteworthy landmarks.
