Jersey - Officially the Bailiwick of Jersey, this is the largest and most-inhabited of the Channel Islands. Jersey lies about 12 nautical miles from the Cotentin Peninsula in Normandy, France, and about 87 nautical miles south of Great Britain. It is home to approximately 100,000 people.

Guernsey - Visit the Little Chapel. This pebble and china-adorned work of art was built by Brother Déodat in 1914. His plan was to create a miniature version of the famous grotto and basilica at Lourdes in France.

Sark - The Bailiwick of Guernsey is made up of three separate sub-jurisdictions: Guernsey, Alderney, and Sark.

Sark - As a royal fief, Sark has its own set of laws based on Norman law and its own parliament.

Brecqhou - The tiny islet is best known as home to Sir David and Sir Frederick Barclay, who bought it in 1995. It is reportedly possible to visit the private island on a day trip with prior arrangement.

Alderney - This is the northernmost of the inhabited Channel Islands. It is just 3 miles long and 1.5 miles wide.

Alderney - The island has a population of roughly 2000 and they are colloquially known as "vaques" or "lapins" after the French words for "cows" and "rabbits".

Alderney - Like its fellow Channel Islands, Alderney has Neolithic sites and Roman remains. In June 1940, the entire population was evacuated to Great Britain ahead of German occupation.

Herm - With tourism its main source of income, the island offers hotels, cottages, camping facilities, and both restaurants and pubs. But with no cars allowed, it remains calm and slow-paced.

Jethou -

Jethou is part of the Bailiwick of Guernsey. It is privately leased and not open to the public, but you can spot it on the horizon from a kayak or ferry.
