30 things that you can't do in some countries - We all know that each nation has its own set of rules and laws, which are crucial to ensure a country's stability. However, certain things we take for granted in our daily lives are banned in some countries. Some of these laws are even considered normal by these countries' citizens, rarely causing problems with their popultations.

Yellow clothes - If you visit Malaysia watch what colors you wear. In 2011, yellow was banned in the country for being the color used by a group of activists who were challenging the government at the time.

Dancing in clubs and bars - In Japan it's forbidden to dance in nightclubs after midnight. Compliance with this law was enforced more rigorously in the past and they are trying to abolish it before hosting the 2020 Olympic Games.

Haircuts - In 2010, Iran passed a law banning men from using western haircuts. The hairstyles in this country are very restricted and follow a certain style.

Hitting children -

Although not accepted in some cultures, some parents choose to reprimand their children with a slap. Even so, in Sweden it's strictly forbidden to hit a child even if it's done by the parents.

Baby walkers - In Canada, this object that assists babies to walk is prohibited. The 2004 law was passed after the government argued that according to studies, babies who were taught to walk with this object had delayed motor development.

Vitamins - In Denmark, it's forbidden to artificially add vitamins, minerals, calcium, etc. to foods.

Valentine's Day - In Saudi Arabia, Valentine's Day is considered a violation of the Muslim laws and therefore the date is not celebrated. In addition, all red objects are banned on that day.

Video games - Video games used to be banned in China. The Chinese government banned the use of this technology so that young people didn't waste their time and would enter the job market instead.

Affection - It's forbidden to kiss in public in the United Arab Emirates. The act is considered an affront to the moral standards of local culture. Even holding hands in public can get people arrested in this country.

Drinking in public - The consumption of alcohol in public is also forbidden in the country. People are also banned from taking drugs and spitting in the streets.

Flowers - After the Jasmine Revolution in Tunisia, the Chinese regime censored the word 'jasmine' on the Internet and banned the sale of the flower in various markets around the Chinese capital Beijing. The flower is considered a threat to society's stability.

Freedom of expression - In the Philippines it's forbidden to speak ill of the country, and if anyone does, whether they're citizens or tourists, they can be severely punished.

Death in the parliament - In the UK there's a law that prohibits people from dying in the British Parliament, as the building has Royal Palace status. When someone feels ill, they are quickly removed from the building by the staff.

In Russia it's forbidden to wear 'gothic' or 'emo' clothing. The Russians have said that these sub-cultures are a threat to national stability, since they encourage depression and suicide in young people.
