Few entertainment venues are more legendary than the Hollywood Bowl. An amphitheater in the Hollywood Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles, the "Bowl" officially opened on July 11, 1922. Recognized for its iconic band shell, the venue has over the years hosted some of the biggest acts in show business, including the Beatles, the Doors, Jimi Hendrix, and the Rolling Stones. The Bowl also serves as a stage for ballet, opera, and classical music concerts. Nearly 100 years after its inauguration, the Hollywood Bowl remains one of the best live music venues in the United States, and one of the most illustrious stages in the world.
