Lil Wayne -

Lil Wayne was only 30 minutes into his show at the Wiltern in Los Angeles as the last stop of his Welcome to Tha Carter tour when he left the stage due to a low energy crowd. HipHopDX reports that the rapper showed up over an hour late, though fans online say it was over three hours later, and then he performed for half an hour, bringing out surprise guest 2 Chainz, before giving the stage over to his Young Money artists Lil Twist, Yaj Kader and Allan Cubas. 

After waiting such a long time to see Lil Wayne, it's unsurprising that the crowd wasn't happy to see him leave the stage. Before Cubas could perform his second song, Wayne returned to stop him. "We appreciate it, but we ain't about to be bending over backwards for these folks. We work too hard for this s***. We work way too hard," Wayne told Cubas, per a video shared on Twitter. He then turned to the crowd and repeated the Young Money artists' names, said, "We appreciate y'all time," then put down the mic and walked away for good. The crowd reportedly waited a couple minutes in disbelief before the house lights went up.

Lil Wayne - In 2019, Lil Wayne was on a joint US tour with Blink-182. On July 11, he revealed at the beginning of his set that he wasn't sure how much longer he was going to do the tour. Then, just 20 minutes into his hour-long set, he simply said "y'all are wack, I'm out of here," and left the stage. He was reportedly upset about the small crowd size, and that it seemed most of the crowd was there for Blink-182.

KISS -

Behind all that makeup and hair, the members of KISS are now in their seventies. The band is traveling the world for their final concert tour: the End of the Road World Tour. Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worst while they were performing in Manaus, Brazil, on April 12, 2023. Vocalist and bassist Gene Simmons became ill and had to leave the stage in the middle of the show. "Hold on, hold on. We're gonna have to stop," singer and guitarist Paul Stanley addressed the audience. "We know how much you love Gene, and he's obviously sick. We're gonna have to stop to take care of him, because we love him, right?" 

The show was put on pause for about five minutes while Simmons was seen to off stage, but he managed to return and perform another song while sitting in a chair. He explained on social media the next day that he was simply dehydrated because the temperatures and humidity in Manaus were "sky high."

Marilyn Manson - Marilyn Manson collapsed onstage at a concert in Houston, Texas, allegedly from "heat poisoning." He was reported as appearing shaken and visibly ill onstage previous to the collapse.

Marilyn Manson - Yet another incident involving Marilyn Manson—the singer outdid himself in February 2019 when he reportedly had a breakdown in New York. He rambled and sang off-beat, then freestyled for a minute, before insulting the crowd and walking off stage.

Steve Lacy -

'Bad Habits' singer Steve Lacy performed across the states for his 'Give You the World' tour, but things took a nasty turn in at his October 24, 2022 show in New Orleans. Videos showed a disposable camera hitting Lacy as he performed on stage and bouncing back into the crowd. Lacy stopped singing and told his band to cut the music. He asked audience members to hand him the offending object and proceeded to dramatically smash it on stage. Lacy then walked off, calling it a night to the crowd's dismay. 

The musician made headlines for his actions and later made a statement on Instagram about the incident. “Shoutout to the people not throwing disposable cameras at me and just coming to catch a vibe and connect ... i hate that the beauty of the connection i have with so many people in the crowd gets lost when something negative happens.” He continued, "i don’t believe i owe anyone an apology—maybe i couldve reacted better? sure. always. i’m a student of life. but i’m a real person with real feelings and real reactions." He received support in the comments from other musicians like Chloe Bailey and Kali Uchis.

Kid Cudi -

During Kid Cudi's headlining performance at Rolling Loud Miami on July 22, members of the audience continued to throw objects at him even after he threatened to walk off, leading him to actually do so after just four songs. "Throw one more f—ing thing on this stage and I'll walk off, I'm not f—ing playing. I'm not f—ing playing, you will ruin it for everybody," Cudi warned. What looked like a water bottle then flew at him from the crowd and he left. Cudi had joined the festival lineup as a replacement for Kanye "Ye" West, who dropped out of the lineup less than a week before he was set to perform. Many suspect the rivalry between the rappers influenced the crowd's behavior during Cudi's set, as fans were reportedly chanting West's name during it, per Consequence.
