'Road House' (1989) -

In a nutshell, this film is about men, bar fights, martial arts, and alcohol. It may not be high brow, but it sure is entertaining. It also includes a good helping of shirtless Patrick Swayze.

'Mortal Kombat' (1995) -

This is one for the gamers out there. Based on the video game 'Mortal Kombat,' this flick is filled with badly done CGI and questionable acting. However, due to its close resemblance to the original game, it remains very popular.

'Clueless' (1995) -

If you want an education about ‘90s culture, this is the film for you. The main character Cher’s (Alicia Silverstone) outrageous shallowness is topped off by her wonderfully cheesy ‘90s outfits. It's hard not to have a soft spot for this teen romance film.

'The Fast and the Furious' (2001) -

This movie was the birth of the wonderfully terrible franchise. Everybody is still very happy to go to the movie theater to see these action-packed films.

'Point Break' (1991) -

The dream team Patrick Swayze and Keanu Reeves have a bromance on screen even though they are on different sides. Swayze is a cool surfer dude, and Reeves plays an FBI agent.

'Spice World' (1997) -

The Spice Girls really missed the mark here. The film was nominated for the Worst Picture, Worst Screenplay, and Worst Original Song for the Golden Raspberry Awards (Razzies).

'Joe Dirt' (2001) -

David Spade wrote and acted in this peculiar comedy. With the flavor of the 2000s and some silly wit, you can't help but be charmed by this story of a boy trying to find his parents.

'Dirty Dancing' (1987) -

It may break your heart to see 'Dirty Dancing' classed as a good bad film, but you must accept the truth. It is not well written and is quite corny. Despite all of this, you can't help but love it.

'Love Actually' (2003) -

Most films specifically made for Christmas aren't great. They contain too many famous actors and have too many storylines. However, even though 'Love Actually' is just as sickly sweet as other rom-coms, it manages to capture everyone's hearts anyway.

'Face/Off' (1997) -

The kings of overacting (even though often very high quality) star in this film. A terrorist (Nick Cage) and an FBI agent (John Travolta) swap faces as part of a mission, but it goes terribly wrong. They are stuck in each other's bodies!

'Pacific Rim' (2013) -

Charlie Hunnam and Idris Elba star in this much-anticipated robot movie. Not only are there giant robots, but real giants as well, which the robots have to fight. No one can accuse them of not being imaginative...

'Speed Racer' (2008) -

'Speed Racer' was originally an anime cartoon and was made into quite a cringy film. The flashing colors and poor CGI, even if intentional, class it as a pretty poor picture. But it's been universally enjoyed anyway because of its well-known characters and quirky production details.

'Underworld' (2003) -

Kate Beckinsale stars in this 'Matrix'-style movie. It has quite the following. Fans love the werewolf and vampire love complications. They love it so much that there are five films in this franchise!

'Starship Troopers' (1997) -

Although it was accepted as a serious alien film, director Pail Verhoeven actually intended it to be a satirical comment on pro-US fascism. There is actually a lot of symbolism in the film, even if it may just seem like a dumb alien film on the surface.

'Never Been Kissed' (1999) -

Nowadays, the premise seems a little weird. An adult pretending to be a student, and then her teacher fancying her even though she is supposedly a teenager. Yikes. Either way, it allows us all to dream of going back to school and having a do-over.

'Masters of the Universe' (1987) -

He-Man (Dolph Lundgren) must save Castle Grayskull from the perils of Lord Skeletor and his evil army. This film has kept a good following from the dedicated fans of the original toys and comics. It also is Courteney Cox's first film role.

'Showgirls' (1995) -

'Showgirls' should have been a hit. With sexy dancing, good-looking ladies, and a club setting, surely it would have had some fans? However, it was done so badly that it won seven Razzie awards. Luckily, it now has somewhat of a cult following.

'Big Trouble in Little China' (1986) -

This movie is jam-packed full of exaggerated action moves and practical effects. The dialogue is limited to basic English. Its silliness makes it quite a fun watch.

'Anaconda' (1997) -

It has a brilliant cast including Jon Voight, Jennifer Lopez, Eric Stoltz, and Owen Wilson. However, don't let this fool you. The awful animation of the snake and the badly written script ensure laughs but not quality.

'Red Dawn' (1984) -

A group of teenagers, among them Jed (Patrick Swayze), Matt (Charlie Sheen), and Toni (Jennifer Grey) have to fight for their town when Soviet forces invade. The film is a celebration of capitalist American politics. The vaguely veiled propaganda will entertain you well for a few hours.

'Rat Race' (2001) -

This film contains an all-star comedic cast. It includes the likes of John Cleese, Rowan Atkinson, Seth Green, and Whoopi Goldberg. The actors are so funny that it hardly matters how bad everything else about the film is.

'The Room' (2003) -

The film written, directed, and produced by Tommy Wiseau, was an absolute flop. It was so badly received that James Franco made a biographical film about him entitled 'The Disaster Artist' (2017). Nevertheless, it has experienced a renaissance as a comedy film in recent years, even though it set out to be a romantic drama.

'Tango & Cash' (1989) -

Tango (Sylvester Stallone) and Cash (Kurt Russell) embody all the buddy cop stereotypes in this film. The duo has to put aside their differences to break out of prison together and clear their names. It is an entertaining comedy of a crime drama.

'Deep Blue Sea' (1999) -

In this stupidly lovable film, a group of scientists go and find a cure for Alzheimer's disease. They accidentally become the prey of sharks at the research facility. The plot may sound serious, but it is literally a cross between Frankenstein and 'Jaws' (1975).

'The Wicker Man' (2006) -

The meme king himself, Nicolas Cage, stars in this remake of the original. It is rated as one of the worst movies in the world on IMDb. It is such a bad film that it is more than amusing to watch.

'So I Married an Axe Murderer' (1993) -

Mike Myers stars in this film where a San Francisco poet believes his wife might be a serial killer. It wasn't originally successful, but gained popularity after Mike Myers' other roles. It's a lovable mess of a film.

'Death Race 2000' (1975) -

This low-budget production is all kinds of weird. A race that encourages violence to purge the nation of any underlying civil unrest. It is a truly bizarre yet satisfying watch.

'Ishtar' (1987) -

Warren Beatty and Dustin Hoffman must have had a fun time making this spoof-like production. It took US$51 million to make, but only made $14 at the box office. It was definitely a flop, yet looking back on it now it seems like it was made to be an adventure comedy.
