Marvel to mediocre: Chris Pratt's best and worst films

No actor can boast a perfect résumé, but with Chris Pratt’s domination of the Marvel Universe and his 'Jurassic Park' fame, many often forget that he’s been anything other than a film franchise favorite. He seems to be in hit after hit, becoming a red carpet staple and Hollywood heartthrob, but his career hasn’t always been a bed of roses.
Like most struggling actors trying to make it, Pratt was waiting tables hoping for his big break. Luckily for him, it actually happened! A film director walked in, complimented him on his looks, asked if he was an actor, and a mere four days later he found himself in Los Angeles.
If that director had taken a liking to another waiter, Pratt might've still been waiting tables. Or, he might've continued making money as a stripper, living out of his van on the beach in Maui after dropping out of community college.
But even after he got into the industry, there was no guarantee that he would be a hit. The actor appeared in numerous films, in roles both big and small, that were highly criticized—or worse, deemed unworthy of a closer examination. These days, however, he’s consistently landing major roles in widely successful films.
