The US maintains extradition treaties with 116 countries, with the first agreement signed with Ecuador in 1873 and the most recent with Croatia in 2022. Despite these treaties, many countries, including most African nations and former Soviet states, don't have extradition agreements with the US. In some cases, countries with treaties, such as Ecuador, Cuba, Switzerland, and Pakistan, have refused extradition requests due to diplomatic, political, or legal reasons.
