Without a doubt, the world is facing unprecedented challenges. To try to set the course for the future, the United Nations has created 17 guiding principles: the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). But what are they exactly, and to what extent do they affect our lives?
These goals, often referred to as the 2030 Agenda, encompass a broad spectrum of targets designed to address global problems such as poverty, inequality, climate change, and environmental degradation. But there is no broad stroke; there is a chain of actions associated with developing a more sustainable future.
Incorporating these goals into our daily lives, industries, and communities brings us one step closer to a more sustainable, equitable, and prosperous world for all. Whether through conscious fashion choices, family dynamics, or architectural innovations, each of us has a role to play in analyzing these goals and putting them into action.
