When it comes to the human experience of emotions, we are all in need of validation. We need our thoughts and feelings to be accepted and to be considered valid without judgment.
But while many of us are great at validating others, self-validation can be a very tricky skill to learn. It is well worth it though: the better we are at validating our own thoughts and feelings, the less we need to rely on validation from others, and the stronger our sense of identity becomes.
