Install a secure storage app -

Having important documents at your fingertips can be really helpful, but security comes first. Before you snap any pictures containing personal/sensitive information, make sure you have a secure place to store them. There are a number of companies offering these services online.

Take a picture of your credit card(s) -

And do so of the front and back. This will allow you to have access to the card number, as well as the CVV (the three digits on the back). Make sure you keep these pics safe in a secure storage space.

Have your ID with you at all times -

Take a picture of your passport, ID card, and/or driving license. Like your credit cards, having this information readily available can be helpful in a number of situations. Keep this safe, too!

Take a picture of your wallet -

Open your wallet in a way you can see all of its contents and take a picture of it. If you lose it or it gets stolen, you will know exactly what cards you need to replace.

Take a picture of your license plate -

It’s safe to say that not everyone remembers their car’s license plate, let alone in a moment when we actually need to know it. A photo will solve this problem.

Take a picture of your pet and their ID -

Having a picture of your pet, as well as their ID information, tags, microchip number, etc., is just a safety precaution that pet owners can benefit from if their pet goes missing.

Many times all you need is a number or barcode, so storing a picture of these will save you some space in your wallet.

How many times has a friend borrowed something from you, and then you completely forget who that was? Snapping a picture of the person with the object will solve this problem. It may sound awkward, but your friend will likely laugh it off.

Take a picture of your pantry and fridge -

Take a photo of your pantry and any other place you keep food, before heading out to shop for groceries. And, of course, taking photos of your fridge and freezer works to the same effect.

While there are apps nowadays that allow you to find out what song is being played, taking a picture of a playlist will ensure that you’ll capture all that good music that you liked at your friend’s house.

Take photos of books -

Take photos of books that look interesting when you're browsing in bookshops. You can then look them up online (and maybe even find better prices) or check if they’re available at your local library.

If you have one on your fridge door, chalkboard, etc., just take a photo of it. If you need specific ingredients for a recipe, just snap a picture of that list as well.

Whether you stay at a hotel or an apartment, take photos of the room(s). This will come in handy if you need to make an insurance claim due to theft, fire, or any other disaster.
