The science behind weather lore
Fact or fiction?

Many of us are familiar with weather lore. These sayings, proverbs, and superstitions have been passed down from generation to generation. Observation of nature is at the root of these expressions. For millennia, we have been predicting the weather by observing clouds, the wind, and animal behavior, among others. And while it's safe to say that these observations alone are not 100% accurate, some come surprisingly close to the real thing.
