They are the world's most populous and productive pollinators, and are responsible for pollinating two thirds of the world's food supply. Climate change and wanton use of pesticides in the agriculture industry have seen the world bee population plummet at an alarming rate in recent years, and their disappearance would have catastrophic effects on the global supply chain.
