Trust us: being a lifeguard is not about spending hours soaking up the sun and looking like a 'Baywatch' character. If fact, it's nothing like that. It's a very demanding job that requires intense training and a wide range of skills. Either at the beach or at the pool, the lifeguard is there to remind us we're not alone. These men and women are always there when we need them, so they deserve our respect and praise.
