If you thought that beer was just a drink, think again. Beer production dates back over 5,000 years, so it's natural that humans have found many other uses for it.
Heineken recently teamed up with self-taught cobbler Dominic Ciambrone, known as "The Shoe Surgeon" to release a limited-edition sneaker that allows the wearer to walk on beer. Ciambrone—famed for making shoes for the likes of LeBron James, DJ Khaled, and Drake—is helping the beer brand celebrate its latest Heineken Silver beer, and created a unique pair of sneakers whose soles are filled with beer. The "Heinekicks," as they're called, are supposed to give you a smooth sensation when walking, and they were designed to reflect the attitude of a new generation of drinkers who are more drawn to informal socializing rather than stuffy occasions. The design even includes a secret bottle opener in a hidden pocket!
Drinking beer is still the best thing you can do with it, but there's more—a lot more. Take a look!
