The popular show inspired a beloved convention

'RuPaul's Drag Race' is a worldwide hit, having premiered in 2009. As for the man behind the brand, RuPaul Charles has been a recognizable face since the early '90s (recall the hit song 'Supermodel (You Better Work)'). So in many ways, a convention dedicated to drag and the world of RuPaul has been a long time coming. Enter RuPaul's DragCon in 2015.
