On March 19, Nestlé recalled thousands of frozen meals due to potential health hazard -

Nestlé made a voluntary recall on four types of Stouffer's and Lean Cuisine frozen meals. Thousands of the products have been taken out of stores due to customers reporting the presence of a wood-like material.

On March 19, Nestlé made the recall on Lean Cuisine Butternut Squash Ravioli, Lean Cuisine Spinach Artichoke Ravioli, Lean Cuisine Lemon Garlic Shrimp Stir Fry, and Stouffers Party Size Chicken Lasagna. The company said the recall was due to health hazards, and further revealed that one customer had reported a potential choking incident.

It was found that the packaging in aseptic paper cartons could have compromised sterility, potentially leading to spoilage. The recalled product was distributed in 242 stores in the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas. Walmart has advised customers to discard the product and request a refund.
