FOOD Sushi

At Uobei Sushi in Tokyo, guests are delivered their meals on a super fast sushi train.

When you arrive, you’re handed a small clipboard. This has your seat number and a bar code. A staff member will then point to the area where your seat is. Every seat at the bar has a touchscreen tablet in front of it. After swiping through the menu, customers can click to order their favorite sushi items. The average price of each item is about 100 yen, which is less than $1, so you might end up ordering everything in sight.

Immediately after ordering, the dishes are sent to you on an incredibly fast conveyor belt. There is no more waiting at this sushi train!

With the lightning-fast service and low prices, you'll be ordering until you are stuffed. Uobei Sushi is quickly becoming one of the most popular sushi destinations in Tokyo. Don't be discouraged if there is a long line, as with the speed of the sushi trains, diners are in and out in no time.
