In a quiet yet symbolic move, the British royal family removed Andrew’s biography from their official website after King Charles III began a formal process to strip him of his titles and honors.
The announcement, made on October 30, stated that the King had “initiated a formal process to remove the Style, Titles and Honours” from his brother. The 65-year-old royal will now be known simply as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. Although his page now redirects to an error message, Andrew remains eighth in line to the throne, a position that can only be changed through an Act of Parliament.
After Queen Elizabeth II died in 2022, Charles became king and William the heir apparent, making George next in line after his father.
