Alec Baldwin -

Alec Baldwin fired a prop gun on the set of his film 'Rust' and accidentally killed the director of photography, 42-year-old Halyna Hutchins, while also injuring the director Joel Souza. There is much mystery and suspicion about how and why the prop gun was loaded with a live round rather than a blank, but a fatal mistake was made somewhere along the line. Baldwin has stated unequivocally that he did not know there was a real bullet in the gun and that firing the gun was an accident. The film's armorer, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, has accused the supplier of providing live rounds rather than blanks and says that dangerous corners were cut on set to save money. Hutchins' family sued Baldwin and others involved in the accident but came to a settlement in 2022. "I have no interest in engaging in recriminations or attribution of blame (to the producers or Mr. Baldwin)," her father, Matthew Hutchins, said in a statement about the settlement. "All of us believe Halyna's death was a terrible accident.

Henry Ruggs III -

Las Vegas Raiders star wide receiver Henry Ruggs III—the 12th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft—was involved in a serious car accident in Las Vegas in the early hours of November 2 which left a 23-year-old woman dead. According to TMZ, the 22-year-old athlete was traveling at "a high rate of speed" before he veered into the right lane of a three-lane road and slammed into the back of the Toyota, which trapped the other driver in her seat so she was unable to escape as flames engulfed her car. Ruggs, who had non-life-threatening injuries, has been hit with two felony charges for DUI with serious bodily harm and reckless driving resulting in death, the first of which carries a prison sentence of up to 20 years, and the second between one to six years in prison if convicted. Ruggs has also since been released by the Raiders.

Venus Williams -

The tennis star was involved in a 2017 car accident in which a man was killed. Williams went through an intersection without having the right of way and was T-boned by a car. According to a police report acquired by TMZ, it was Williams’s fault.

Matthew Broderick - In 1987, the 'Ferris Bueller' star accidentally drove the wrong way on a road in Ireland and crashed into a vehicle approaching from the opposite direction. Both the driver and passenger in the other car died.

Michael Massee -

Brandon Lee, the rising action star and son of Bruce Lee, died in 1993 on the set of cult-classic 'The Crow' after Massee, playing the villain, shot him with an ill-prepared prop gun. It was a fatal mistake by the crew which changed Massee's life, and conspiracy theorists love to point out that it all occurred during Lee's character's death scene.

In doing so, he accidentally hit his friend and bodyguard, Neil Boland, and was charged with Boland's death, for driving without a license or insurance, and for driving under the influence. Though the death was ruled an accident, Moon pleaded guilty to the driving charges.

Claudine Longet - The French singer was charged with manslaughter in 1976 after her boyfriend, professional skier Vladimir "Spider" Sabich, was found shot to death in her bathroom. Longet admitted to holding the gun, but claimed it was an accident when he was showing her how to handle it. The charges were later reduced to criminally negligent homicide and she was sentenced to pay a fine and spend 30 days in jail.
