In 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail' (1975), John Cleese plays a host of characters, and one of them is the hilarious "Black Knight" who keeps refusing to admit defeat even after all of his limbs are chopped off in a sword fight, exclaiming "tis but a scratch."

Anne Hathaway's character in 'Get Smart' (2008) isn't given a name either. She's only known as "Agent 99."

The 'Doctor Who' series follows the adventures of an eccentric time-traveling scientist from the remote planet of Gallifrey. It stars a character called "The Doctor," who is a time lord.

In 'The Seven Year Itch' from 1955, Marilyn Monroe's character plays a charming young temptress to a married man, and is never named.

"Mr. Blue," "Mr. White," "Mr. Orange," "Mr. Blonde," "Mr. Brown," and "Mr. Pink" -

In the 1992 American crime film 'Reservoir Dogs,' the characters are thieves and so their real names are (for the most part) not revealed. The thieves are played by Harvey Keitel, Tim Roth, Chris Penn, Steve Buscemi, Lawrence Tierney, Michael Madsen, Quentin Tarantino, and Edward Bunker.
