On November 19, former One Direction stars gathered along with friends and family for the funeral of Liam Payne.

The funeral of the 31-year-old singer was held in his hometown at a private church service in Buckinghamshire, UK. The service was attended by all four of his former bandmates, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Harry Styles—who was accompanied by James Corden. Cheryl Cole, the mother of his seven-year-old son, Bear, was in attendance, along with her Girls Aloud bandmates. Former ‘X Factor’ host and mentor Simon Cowell was also seen—alongside family, friends, and Payne's girlfriend, Kate Cassidy.

The singer tragically died on October 16 after falling from the third-floor balcony of a hotel in Buenos Aires at the age of 31. Celebrity funerals, memorials, and vigils can be dazzling final farewell events, or somber low-key get-togethers. Either way, the cameras are almost always there to record the occasion.
