Rudd was crowned Sexiest Man Alive in People magazine's iconic yearly feature. Many thought the title would go to Chris Evans, but Rudd beat him to the post. However, if you really think about it, what's sexier than a great sense of humor?

First of all, he doesn’t age -

He's so youthful inside and out that he has not changed in years. This is him in 1998 versus him in 2019: over a 20-year difference!

Pranking Conan O'Brien for over 15 years -

On talk shows, Rudd is supposed to show a clip of his latest movie, but every time he's been on O'Brien's show he brings the same clip from the critically maligned 1988 cult film 'Mac and Me.' It's a boy in a wheelchair going over a cliff into a lake.

He's not a fan of portmanteaus -

When a journalist used the term “staycation,” he replied, “Tell me that's not a term! That's horrible! I've never heard of it! I hate it though! Staycation? Having a vacation, but not going anywhere? Ugh. That's worse than bromance or Nolita or rom-com or Brangelina.”

He's so good at improvisation it had to be cut - In 'The 40-Year-Old Virgin,' playing the “Know How I Know You're Gay?” game, Rudd and Seth Rogen took their jokes far past the page and nailed so many of them that they had to be cut for time.

He paid tribute to his deceased father on 'SNL' -

His father died shortly before Rudd hosted 'SNL' for the first time, and during the closing credits he came out in his father's Navy shirt, looked up, and blew a kiss.

When an eye doctor told him his eyes were getting worse, a Vulture journalist reported he just shrugged his shoulders and said, “I'm not surprised by anything because I really just feel as if I'm on a slow, steady course to, just, destruction in every facet of my body and mind.”

The legacy of Celery Man - True fans of Rudd's will remember his 2011 bit as part of the final episode of the ‘Tim and Eric Awesome Show,’ where he viewed dancing versions of himself on his computer, all of whom you can view on the Celery Man website.

Rudd realized the change in his success by how people reacted to him at parties: “It used to be, 'hold up wait a minute, don't I know you? You're that guy!' I was a 'that guy' actor. Then all of a sudden they knew my name."

He studied every single thing Steve Martin released. He especially loved the names Martin would come up with, like Gern Blanston, and when he revealed this in an interview, Martin sent him a copy of his memoir and signed it “Gern.” Rudd said it was one of the greatest moments of his life.

He and a friend were on a double date and trying to make their dates laugh by doing unpredictable things, but the jokes escalated to Rudd trying to jump out of his Jeep and run alongside it. The humor was lost and his car veered off and hit a tree.

Jack Nicholson kissed him on the lips -

Rudd played Nicholson's son in 'How Do You Know,' and when they first met, Rudd recounted, “[Nicholson] just swept into the room, kissed me on the lips, laughed, and sat down. It was hilarious. He's Jack Nicholson. Where do you go from there?”

His acne kind of landed him his first kiss -

He told GQ about his terrible “ready to burst” acne once at a football game and how instead of ignoring it he made a huge deal out of it, in front of a girl he really liked. One of the girl's friends accused him of keeping the zit to have attention. He went home and popped it, but the girl he liked ended up being his first kiss.

He's been married since 2003 -

And he'd been with his wife, Julie Yaeger, for some time before they were married. They have two kids, Jack and Darby.

He used his own marriage to improv in 'This Is 40' -

The film was largely based off director Judd Apatow and star Leslie Mann's marriage, as well as Rudd's over-10-year-long marriage. Sometimes Rudd and Mann's only direction would be “argue.”

He was really into the '80s aesthetic - A yearbook photo of Rudd's surfaced on the internet and Rudd explained that in the first part of the '80s he was into Hall and Oates and had a curly mullet, and in the second part of the decade he was a big INXS fan and wanted to grow his hair as long as he could like Michael Hutchence, hence his yearbook photo.

He was good-humored when the Ant-Man figurine came out - His Marvel action hero had a figurine come out with his face on it, but the result is absolutely hilarious with a dramatically slanted smirk, which Rudd said made him look like an “a—hole.” He was a good sport about it with Conan O'Brien.

He was mugged during the filming of 'Clueless' -

He had gone out to dinner and a man had approached him in the parking lot, threatening him with a gun. To convince him that it was real, the man fired a shot that whizzed through Rudd's hair. Rudd gave the man his backpack, and the next day he went to work and filmed a club dancing scene.

He's a lip-sync king - Jimmy Fallon's first official lip sync as host of the 'Tonight Show' found Rudd performing Tina Turner and Queen with incredible commitment. Fallon admitted defeat on the spot!

His first time leading a major TV show by himself, and he does it twice as both his character and his character's clone! He ultimately earned a Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Actor – Television Series Musical or Comedy.
