Rihanna is known not only for her incredible music, but also for her enduring sense of style. The versatility of her looks has turned the singer into a fashion icon. She even owns her own company, Fenty Beauty, which has helped to make her the world's richest female musician, according to Forbes.
So where did Rihanna’s stylish journey begin? Born in Barbados, Rihanna sold clothes as child, working with her father in Bridgetown. She went from high street to collaborating with fashion houses like Dior, Stance, and Manolo Blahnik. In 2015, she became the first black female face of Dior, which led her to found Fenty.
The fashion brand operates under LVMH, a luxury fashion group which also owns Louis Vuitton, along with other luxury goods. The house launched in Paris, at a pop-up store in May 2019. Rihanna is taking her brand in brave new directions, and has earned high praise for doing so. Forbes lists her as the richest female musician in the world, and many fans have been inspired by Rihanna’s constant rise in power.
