Beyoncé remains a powerful music and cultural icon. Following the immense success of her 2022 album 'Renaissance' and the spectacular world tour that followed it, in April 2024 Beyoncé ventured into the country music scene with the release of the single 'Texas Hold 'Em.' The single quickly climbed the charts, reaching number one on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart and marking a historic achievement. Beyoncé is the first Black woman to top this chart and the first artist to have number one hits on both the Hot Country Songs and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts.
Beyoncé is likely the most well-known singer in the world, and she's one of the few stars who has achieved such a legacy through an almost unbelievably clean, uphill trajectory. It seems with each project or performance she outdoes herself, and at this point she really is her only competition at the top.
