A few months later, the news broke that Ashanti was expecting a baby with Nelly and that the couple was engaged. However, court records show that they actually signed the marriage papers at the end of 2023! In August 2024, Ashanti revealed that they welcomed their son, Kareem Kenkaide Haynes, on July 18. This is the 43-year-old's first child, while Nelly shares an adult son and daughter with his ex, Channetta Valentine.
