When she was just 21 years old, Forbes announced that Kylie Jenner was officially the youngest self-made billionaire ever. A year later, she once again claimed the crown of the world's youngest self-made billionaire, helped along by selling a majority stake in her beauty business for $600 million in late 2019, valuing her business at around $1.2 billion. After some controversy over her billionaire status in 2020, she continued her reign as the highest-paid celebrity of 2020, with a calculated $590 million profit.

So, perhaps it's no surprise that the beauty mogul sparked outrage on Twitter after asking fans to contribute to an online fundraiser for celebrity makeup artist Samuel Rauda, whom she's worked with in the past, who was involved in a serious incident and underwent surgery. Jenner shared the link to the GoFundMe page dedicated to funding Rauda's medical expenses, and backlash ensued.

“Why is kylie jenner asking for donations to fund her makeup artist’s surgery when she’s a billionaire,” one person tweeted. Many wondered how her extremely profitable makeup business couldn't cover the costs of her makeup artist's medical expenses, and others found that under a list of top donations, a “kylie jenner” appeared to donate $5,000. The goal of the page was $120,000.
