Kim Kardashian filed to divorce Kanye West on February 19, marking the end of six years of marriage between two giants of popular culture.
The spouses, who were married in 2014, agreed on joint custody for their four kids, North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm, and they're reportedly not contesting their prenup. Though Kardashian and West are two of the most dramatic, headline-making stars of the moment, it appears their divorce, which cited "irreconcilable differences," is not going to be a messy one.
Kanye has recently made headlines with the news that he wants to legally change his name from Kanye Omari West to just 'Ye.' Ye is the nickname he's gone by for years, but it's a surprise that he wants to drop his family name. By contrast, Kim Kardashian West is keeping it. The star said she doesn't plan to remove West from her name even after the divorce. Kardashian West reportedly supports his decision to become Ye, but their children's names won't be changed.
