British-Liberian artist accuses ‘Black Panther’ music video of stealing her work - As Pitchfork reports, British-Liberian artist Lina Iris Viktor has accused the team behind the ‘All the Stars’ music video, of using her work without permission. Viktor claims that representatives for Marvel approached her twice, in November 2016 and December 2017, yet she declined their requests to use her artwork. Per Pitchfork, Viktor spoke publicly on the incident, saying “the whole film purports [...] black empowerment, African excellence—that’s the whole concept of the story. And at the same time they’re stealing from African artists”.
