The United States Department of State recently revised advice for popular cruise destinations in Mexico, including a Level 4: Do Not Travel warning for Manzanillo in Colima state due to elevated crime and kidnapping. Travel advisory levels range from Level 1: Exercise Normal Precautions, Level 2: Exercise Increased Caution, Level 3: Reconsider Travel, and the highest Level 4. These travel advisory notices are updated regularly and serve to notify US citizens intending to travel abroad of any health and/or security risks pertaining to their destination.
