What is the HEXACO personality test?
Benefits, drawbacks, and how it works
LIFESTYLE Psychology
When it comes to analyzing personalities, there are many models that psychologists can use. The HEXACO personality inventory is one of those models, and it is applied via a series of test questions. During the test, the subject responds to a series of statements about themselves. A computer then analyzes the subject's responses and gives them a score for six different personality traits (honesty-humility, emotionality, extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, and openness to experience).
The HEXACO test has been around since the early 2000s, and is a favorite of many psychologists. That doesn't mean it's perfect, however.
