The language on UAP in the Aerial Space Protection Law was debated in the hearing. Should such changes be approved, Mexico will become “the first nation to formally acknowledge the presence of alien life ever existing on Earth.”

▲

Graves told Mexican lawmakers: "We believe that UAP represent an urgent priority for both aerospace safety and scientific inquiry," he said. "Our focus is on improving public education of UAP, breaking stigma and working towards better transparency and disclosure."

▲

The purported alien bodies as evidence was also criticized by Julieta Fierro, researcher at the Institute of Astronomy at the National Autonomous University of Mexico, who said it “made no sense.”

▲

“Maussan has done many things. He says he has talked to the Virgin of Guadalupe,” said Fierro. “He told me extraterrestrials do not talk to me like they talk to him because I don’t believe in them.”

▲

Maussan’s presentation has been questioned by a number of people, including one of Mexico's top astrobiologists, Antígona Segura, who said: “These conclusions are simply not backed up by evidence.”

▲

Maussan was joined by Ryan Graves, the executive director of the Americans for Safe Aerospace organization. Graves is a former U.S. Navy pilot who presented similar concerns in Washington.

▲

"We are left with reflections, with concerns and with the path to continue talking about this," said Congressman Sergio Gutiérrez Luna.

▲

Jaime Maussan mentioned that DNA tests would prove that the corpses were not from our planet, but such evidence was not presented.

▲

The National Laboratory of Mass Spectrometry with Accelerators (LEMA) reissued a statement from 2017 saying that their tests only intended to determine the age of the samples, and that they did so using samples provided by the client and not the specimens themselves.

▲

In addition, José de Jesús Zalce Benitez, director of the Scientific Institute for Health of the Mexican navy, also mentioned that X-rays and 3-D reconstruction had been carried out. But again, no evidence was presented.

▲

The 'discovery,' however, was debunked. In reality, the “alien” was a mummified human child with a head deformity.

▲

The lab “disassociates itself from any use, interpretation, or subsequent misrepresentation of the results it provides,” the statement read. “In no case do we draw conclusions about the origin of these samples.”

▲

It turns out this is not the first time Jaime Maussan claims to have discovered “non-human” remains. In 2015, he claimed to have discovered a mummified alien in Nazca, Peru.

▲

"This is the first time it (extraterrestrial life) is presented in such a form and I think there is a clear demonstration that we are dealing with non-human specimens that are not related to any other species in our world," said Maussan before congress.

▲

Two boxes were presented to congress, each containing alleged stuffed bodies of aliens.

▲

The presentation of the bodies was made to the country’s lawmakers during Mexico's first public congressional hearing on the topic.

▲

They also had elongated heads, resembling the character E.T., from Steven Spielberg’s 1982 movie ‘E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial.’

▲

Unlike humans, both corpses only had three fingers on each hand.

▲

On September 12, 2023, Jaime Maussan presented the corpses of purported "non-human" before the Mexican congress.

▲

Carbon-14 dating carried out by the National Autonomous University of Mexico puts the alien corpses at 700 to 1,800 years old.

▲

According to Maussan, the bodies of the extraterrestrials were recovered in Peru, near the ancient Nazca Lines, in 2017.

▲

Jaime Maussan is a journalist and researcher on unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP), aka UFOs.

▲

An article produced by Reuter's Fact Check team on September 15, 2023, stated that: "A hearing in the Mexican Congress did not reach any conclusions or confirm the authenticity of purported alien mummies presented by an independent investigator in a hearing on the topic of UFOs." And you? What do you think?

For now, let's recall some of the most famous UFO sightings in the world.

▲

On February 20, 2011, a number of people in Vancouver, Canada, reported seeing an object hovering in the sky that emitted lights. Footage of the event was reviewed, and it was concluded that the UFO was actually a kite with LED lights.

▲

On September 9, 1970, Royal Air Force pilot William Schaffner was flying over the North Sea when he spotted a strange object hovering. A few minutes later, he lost radio communication. The plane was later found in the sea, but the aircraft canopy was closed and there was no trace of Captain Schaffner.

▲

The Rendlesham Forest incident are a series of sightings that occurred in 1980 after a UFO supposedly landed in Rendlesham Forest in England. But the Ministry of Defense never considered the event a threat to national security, so it was never formally investigated.

Between August and September 1951, several unusual light formations arranged in a "V" pattern were spotted in Lubbock, Texas. The U.S. Air Force investigated and concluded that the lights had been caused by a plover (a small wading bird).

▲

In 1973, the then-governor of Georgia reported seeing a UFO, a fact that only became public after Carter became President of the United States.

▲

The Roswell Incident is perhaps one of the most famous in American ufology. In 1947, two men claimed to have seen U.S. Army personnel recover an alien spacecraft from the desert. The United States military denies the incident to this day.

On September 12, 2023, journalist and UFO enthusiast Jaime Maussan presented the corpses of purported aliens before Mexican lawmakers. Such a congressional event is unprecedented, and the world can't stop talking about it. But who are these supposed extraterrestrial beings? And how did they end up in Mexico in 2023?
