Dolly Parton’s Hollywood Walk of Fame star has been vandalized just days after the country music icon’s death on August 25, with a culprit (or culprits) apparently scratching over her name.

Ana Martinez of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce told Los Angeles news station ABC-7 on September 1 that the star had already been scheduled for repairs by the Hollywood Historic Trust because of existing cracks. However, Martinez said the vandalism occurred after the star was cleared of fan tributes in preparation for the previously planned restoration work.

Indeed, the Hollywood Walk of Fame has been paying tribute to notable people in the entertainment industry for many years. To have a star embedded in the sidewalks of the historic landmark is a great achievement and a sign of recognition. Some people, however, don't think some celebs should have stars on the Walk of Fame, so they resort to vandalism to send a message.

For one reason or another, over the years many stars have been defaced and even stolen. But which famous people have had their stars targeted by vandals the most? Read through this gallery to find out.
