Public opinion reflects new stance
In 2006 in Leeuwarden, Netherlands, hundreds of builders from 13 countries came together to assemble almost four and a half million dominoes over several weeks at the FEC Expocentrum.
A structure that stretched around one mile (1.6 km) through Berlin made from 1,000 giant, painted, illuminated styrofoam dominoes were tipped over in 2009 to symbolize the fall of communist governments throughout Eastern Europe in 1989.
In 2016 in the Bursa province of Turkey, the world record attempted was made from 300,000 pieces over five days and was knocked on the Republic Day of Turkey (October 29).
Gathering spectators marveled as the toppling dominoes made their way along the route of the former Berlin Wall.
Hevesh started at around age 10. Some of her works have taken a month to complete.
