Hungarian pianist and composer Rezső Seress wrote the infamous song 'Gloomy Sunday,' which has been linked to a number of people who have taken their lives, leading it to be banned in Hungary.
Sean Combs's Bad Boy Records was pretty successful in the '90s. But things started to go downhill after The Notorious B.I.G. passed. And it gets weirder: many of the label's artists later became religious leaders, namely Craig Mack, Mase, Shyne, and Loon.
The 'SNL' stage's sound is famously bad, and many musicians have suffered the consequences. Some believe it started when the late Sinead O'Connor ripped up a photo of the Pope on live TV.

But unfortunately the number is not just linked to positive events in John Lennon's life. The Beatles broke up after nine years, and although Lennon died on December 8, 1980, it was 4 am in the UK, so it was December 9 already in his hometown of Liverpool.
