Oscars 2021: What might the ceremony look like?
The broadcast will be shot like a movie, and it includes a star-studded cast

Can you believe it was only February 10, 2020, when Bong Joon-ho’s 'Parasite' swept the Oscars, with all of those people packed into a theater sharing public displays of affection and mouth-breathing without a care in the world?
After the pandemic struck, a number of prominent events were canceled and others had to drastically reformat their shows. Although the 2020 Oscars narrowly escaped cancellation as the ceremony took place before the world went into lockdown, the 2021 event still won't be a total return to normal.
But do not fear, the ceremony is shaping up to be quite interesting this year. The producers have promised to do the broadcast as if it were a movie itself, and they've "casted" 15 major stars to handle the presenting duties. Those stars include last year's award-winners Joaquin Phoenix, Renee Zellweger, Brad Pitt, Laura Dern, and Bong Joon-ho, as well as Angela Bassett, Halle Berry, Don Cheadle, Bryan Cranston, Harrison Ford, Regina King, Marlee Matlin, Rita Moreno, Reese Witherspoon, and Zendaya, Deadline reports. “There’s so much wattage here, sunglasses may be required," the producers said.
