The actress likes everyone to get their presents at the same time. No exception for children. "Nobody goes into the living room until everybody goes into the living room," she said. Roberts also likes “a good hearty Christmas dinner.”
Kunis revealed in 2017 that they didn't give the kids any presents. This is because they were too young to appreciate them. They'd welcome a "charitable donation, to the Children's hospital or a pet" as an alternative.
"Around the holidays, I strongly encourage everyone to actually have conversation, especially with people whose opinions differ than yours, with people who live differently than you do."
When her stepsons were little, she used to leave them a trail of candy canes outside their door, leading to the Christmas tree. The singer still does this to this day, even though they're now teenagers.
In 2015, the actress revealed how her family loves to sing Christmas carols and sit down to eat her dad's turkey, which is seasoned with fresh jalapeños!
The singer's Christmas morning tradition involves going for breakfast at Waffle House. "It’s such a hectic time, and I don’t feel like making breakfast on a day that you’re just making so much food anyway. So we order breakfast and leave a ginormous tip."
In 2016, Hudson described her family traditions: "Every year, Santa comes and leaves presents for the kids out in the open.[...] The first thing we all do is look in our stockings and look at what Santa’s been noticing about our year. Santa is very clever, he’s very funny so he likes to give the adults very funny presents!" The actress and her kids also leave treats for Santa every year.
Back in 2014, the actress said that Christmas is "really about being with family so we never leave the house, whether we're making gingerbread houses or baking cookies or sitting around watching movies."
"Having family come over and eating too much meat and cheese, all that stuff -- it’s really a special time," she told Good Morning America. In another interview, the actress said, "We do a lot of baking around Christmastime. We always do a sugar cookie so that the kids can decorate, and, honestly, I use Martha Stewart's recipe for sugar cookies. They're the best."
Back in 2013, the then-First Lady shared a family tradition she kept going. "Our extended family was so large, people couldn't really afford to buy gifts for everyone. So a couple of my aunts would go out and purchase small gifts. They would put them in a basket and in order to get a gift you had to perform. You could tell a joke, read a poem, do a backflip—anything counted. It's a tradition that we've carried on today."
"Every year we eat tamales on Christmas morning," said Nick Jonas. Adding, "My mom started it and it's special because Kevin, Joe, and I have grown up doing it. It's very like us to have tamales on Christmas."
Their family likes to hit the road. "Every other year, we go to Oregon to be at my mom’s house. Every year we road trip — we don’t fly. And we stop at different places along the route as part of our tradition," shares Shepard.

"We always trim the tree on Christmas Eve during the day and into the night, and we have a big meal and then the kids put their pajamas on and they hang up their stockings, and we got the fire going, and then when it gets dark we always choose someone to read T'was the Night Before Christmas," Kurt Russell told Us Weekly.
The 'Twin Peaks' actor spends Thanksgiving with his wife's family, but Christmas is spent with his. "We do a Christmas visit up to see my family, everybody's in the Seattle area. I go to visit my brothers and we laugh till our stomachs ache on jokes that my wife doesn't think are very funny but of course we think are hilarious.”
The actress prefers giving her kids experiences instead of presents. "What we've started doing is taking them each Christmas or New Year's on an experience. We went to Ireland, we went to India. Granted, we're lucky we can do that. But instead of just buying them things, which once you get past whatever sneaker everybody has that they want, you sort of whittle it down."
The actress always tries to travel to New York to spend Christmas with her family. As for traditions, "we stay at home in our pajamas and watch a lot of movies. That has never really changed."
"My favorite one—which my parents did when we were kids that we now do with our children—which is the morning of Christmas, sitting at the top of the stairs, waiting for mom and dad to go downstairs and check to make sure Santa came and he left,” shared the 'Sabrina the Teenage Witch' star.
“Every year I have my sons come to the house, just like my father did when he was living with my brothers—we'd come over every Christmas morning. We have fried oysters, we have [Sister] Schubert's rolls, and we have eggnog. That's it."
“Christmas morning when my kids were little, it was the same way my parents did for us, where it was, like, if you wake up before us, you can't come out to the living room. You have to wait until I turn the Christmas music on and you smell the coffee,” said the 'Fuller House' star.
“My tradition that I have is my brother Reed usually cooks. He thinks he’s a professional chef, which he definitely is not. But we like to let him believe that! And we always have so much fun in the kitchen,” shared the Olympic gold medalist.
"What I like to do is decorate for Christmas the day after Thanksgiving. And my husband [Greg Covey] knows this so he doesn’t even have to be asked. He just goes to the storage space and gets out all the decorations," explained the actress.

“When we have functions, or the holidays come around everyone comes to my house. I will have between 30 and 40 family members for Thanksgiving and Christmas. It’s me and my cousin. My cousin is a professional chef. [...] He’ll make the sauces and I’ll do all of the other things and he’ll help me along the way,” said the 'Black-ish' star.

For Teigen and her family, it's all about fast food! "Christmas Day is more of like order McDonald's and go to the movies. It's a very lazy day," she said.
Kim and her family usually celebrate Christmas Eve. "It's all our closest family and friends celebrating the holidays with a night of food, fun and dancing," she said, adding, "On Christmas morning, we all wear matching pajamas when we open presents at Kourtney's house. Each year, we get different pajamas."
