We've already listed the greatest actor-director duos in film, and now it's time to look at the most successful acting duos. Some actors keep working together, and the truth is that we don't get tired of seeing them co-starring in movies.
That's definitely the case for Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, whose off-screen bromance has also flourished in their on-screen projects. And now they're teaming up once again in a biopic about the former Nike executive Sonny Vaccarro, a feature hailing from Amazon Studios and Skydance Sports, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Damon will portray Vaccarro, while also co-writing and producing the untitled sports marketing drama. In addition to co-starring as Nike co-founder Phil Knight, Affleck will direct, co-write, and produce, alongside Mandalay Pictures. The story follows Nike’s relentless quest to sign rising basketball superstar Michael Jordan to its shoe company in the mid-'80s. Of course, we all now know how massive and influential that endorsement was in regards to providing the foundation for the most significant relationship between an athletic brand and an athlete, but at the time it seemed impossible. It was only the sneaker salesman's ceaseless efforts that ultimately led to the eventual multi-billion-dollar contemporary sneaker industry.
