▲Desmond's relationship with The Blonds (made up of designer duo Phillipe and David Blond) didn't end there: here he is front row at their New York Fashion Week show in February 2019.

▲Desmond is Amazing is clearly a rising star. But as for the big bucks, they all go into a trust fund, which he'll only access when he's 18. Now, the cash tips drag performers typically receive, well, Desmond spends his on outfits and toys (he is, after all, still a kid).

▲His parents, Andrew and Wendy Napoles, are incredibly supportive of their son's dreams, this even despite repeated calls from strangers to child protective services and death threats.

▲Raised in the New York borough of Brooklyn, he made his professional drag debut in a music video for 'Drag Race' alum Jinkx Monsoon in 2014.

▲Born in New York City in 2007, Desmond Napoles began dressing in drag as early as the age of two, inspired by the reality competition show 'RuPaul's Drag Race.'

He's only 12, but Desmond Napoles, otherwise known by his stage name of Desmond is Amazing, is becoming a favorite in the world of drag. This "drag kid" shot to fame after going viral in 2015, and has since extended his 15 minutes of fame well beyond what any critic would've expected. And make no mistake: many are critical (and that's putting it lightly) of Desmond and his parents. But as for the fashion elite and the famous, they seem plenty charmed by this wunderkid.
