Firefighters around the world risk their lives on a daily basis to protect lives, property, and the environment. It's one of the most dangerous jobs out there, and we'd all be a lot worse off without these courageous first responders. In fact, these brave and highly skilled individuals, and others working in the emergency services, are celebrated on International Firefighters' Day, observed annually on May 4.
